Easter Bunny Rolls Bento


I saw a picture of bunny rolls in Pinterest, and really wanted to make it for the kids' Easter bento this year. Even though the results were not as good as the sample picture, I'm pretty happy with the texture and the flavour. Furthermore, the boys thought the bunnies look cute enough :)



Easter Bunny Rolls Recipe
Adapted from : momalwaysfindsout

Ingredients:
2-1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg

Method:
1. Put the butter, the sour cream and water in a small saucepan and heat, but do not cook. 
2. Cool to tepid then add the remaining ingredients. 
3. Knead the dough. (If too thick, add more water).
4. Let it rise double and cut into 16 equal parts.
5. Baking tray lined with baking paper or a silicone baking mat and cut the ears with kitchen shears. 
6. When the dough is STILL SOFT, Make sure you smooth the edges around, so you do not end up with gremlin shaped horns.
7. The eyes can then be put in, I used black sesame seed.
8. Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes : I added sausages as filling.

2. "Bunny" hard boiled egg (with nori for the eyes and ears)
3. Milk jelly with nata de coco
4. Ham "flower"
5. Lettuce, carrot and broccoli
6. Watermelon cuts for recess



For my youngest son, I prepared :
1. Easter bunny sausage roll
2. "Bunny" hard boiled egg (with nori for the eyes and ears)
3. Milk jelly with nata de coco
4. Ham "flower"
5. Lettuce, carrot and broccoli
6. Vanilla yogurt for recess

Easter Bunny Wraps


My last Easter-themed bento this year. I prepared "Easter Bunny" wraps (mini flour tortillas with filling consists of roast chicken, grated carrot, broccoli, BBQ sauce, ham and cheese). And then I sealed it with "bunny stamps" that made of nori, cheese, carrot, beetroot, and black sesame seed).

Details as below :



For my youngest son, I prepared :
1. "Easter Bunny" wrap
2. Corn on the cob
3. Hard boiled egg with salt and pepper
4. Banana for recess


And for my eldest son, I prepared :
1. "Easter Bunny" wrap
2. Corn on the cob
3. Hard boiled egg with salt and pepper
4. Carrot sticks
5. Watermelon cuts for recess

Cute Bunny Butts


I remember once I saw the bunny butt cake in the Pinterest, and it looks adorable. So I implemented that idea in this bento today. The bunny butt is made of hard boiled egg, sandwich bread, and nori. And the mini carrot is made of carved carrot and broccoli that connected using angel hair pasta.

Details as below :



For my eldest son, I prepared :
1. Sausage rolls and BBQ sauce
2. "Bunny butt" hard boiled egg
3. Rice cracker
4. Carrot and broccoli
5. Sausage
6. Watermelon cuts for recess



For my youngest son, I prepared :
1. Sausage rolls and tomato ketchup
2. "Bunny butt" hard boiled egg
3. Carrot and broccoli
4. Milk jelly with nata de coco
6. Kiwi fruit for recess

Easter Rabbit and Eggs


Easter is fast approaching so to get the kids in the Easter spirit, I made Easter-themed bento for them.
Details as below :


For my youngest son, I prepared :
1. Easter egg onigiri (white steamed rice, nori, asparagus, and carrot)
2. "Hatching" hard boiled egg with salt & pepper
3. Shredded grill chicken
4. Beetroot cubes
5. Milk jelly with nata de coco
6. Kiwi fruit for recess



And for my eldest son, I prepared :
1. Easter rabbit onigiri (white steamed rice, nori, fried Angel hair pasta and beetroot)
2. "Easter" hard boiled egg (with asparagus & carrot decoration)
3. Shredded grill chicken
4. Beetroot cubes
5. Asparagus and carrot
6. Rockmelon cuts for recess

Happy Easter




Happy Easter everyone! Have a blessed Easter and a safe long weekend!

For the last day of school before Easter holiday, I prepared :



This one is for my eldest son. It consists of :
1. "Easter chicks" sandwich ( cheese, carrot, nori, eggsheet, and black sesame seed)
2. Corn on the cob
3. A box of Sultanas
4. Leek leaf



My little one was so excited to go to school today because his teacher told him that Easter bunny will be visiting and putting Easter eggs into their little baskets that they had prepared.

So I prepared this Easter basket bento for him. It consists of :
1. "Easter basket" sandwich (sandwich, bread crust, eggsheet, and nori)
2. Sultanas and "Easter" letter cut out of flattened white sandwich.
3. Polkadot hard boiled egg
4. Corn on the cob
5. Carrot sticks and leek leaf as divider

This bento consists of :
1. "Dreamy Easter Bunny" sandwich (cheese, eggsheet, nori, and black sesame seed)
2.  Carrot sticks and Kellogs nutrigrain in stick
3.  Corn in the cob

This bento consists of :
1. Sandwich with "hatched Easter egg" on top (eggsheet, carrot, and black sesame seed)
2. Coconut jelly "agar-agar"
3. "Chicken" boiled egg (eggsheet, carrot, and black sesame seed)
4. "Tulip" sausage
5. Coriander leaf and leak leaf as divider

Easter Egg Bunny



The Easter bunny is holding 2 Easter eggs and it looks really happy :) The bunny is made of steamed rice coloured with tomato ketchup, decorated with nori, and eggsheet.

On the other side, I prepared :
1. Homemade chicken nuggets
2. "Coconut jelly agar-agar" mold as a fish
3. Tamagoyaki
4. Lettuce and carrot sticks

Easter Rabbits and Hatching Egg


I baked a few dinner rolls stuffed with bacon and cheese yesterday, and put aside two pieces for kids bento's today.




For my little one, I prepared :
1. Baked dinner roll with cheese and bacon
2. Hard boiled egg decorated with cute bunny rabbit
3. Homemade chicken nuggets and "tulip" sausage
4. Carrot sticks and lettuce
5. Honey dew cuts




For my eldest one, I prepared :
1. Baked dinner rolls with bunny on top (eggsheet, carrot, nori, and black sesame seed)
2. "Caterpillar" sausage
3. Homemade chicken nuggets
4. Hatched egg (hard boiled egg, black sesame seed, and carrot)
5. Lettuce and carrot sticks
6. Grapes

Bunny family



For today's post, I made Bunny family for the kids. Details as below :




For the year 2 son, the bento consists of :
1. "Bunny" dinner roll (dinner roll filled with cheese and lettuce, "bunny" carrot decorated with eggsheet and black sesame seed)
2. Corn on the cob
3. Halves boiled egg
4. Homemade chicken nuggets
5. "Candy" sausage (alongside the dinner roll) 
6. Enoki mushroom





For my kindy son, the bento consists of :
1. "Little bunny" baked dinner roll (stuffed with ham and cheese)
2. Corn on the cob
3. Sausage and homemade chicken nuggets
4. Lettuce and grapes

And for the fruit time : a bunch of "rabbit" apples

Bunny Sandwich



For my kindy son, I made this simple Bento. Once he told his teacher that he doesn't really like egg yolks, but he'll finish it after all. He's so sweet, isn't he ?  :)
This bento consists of :
1. "Bunny" sandwich (strawberry jam sandwich, cheese, eggsheet, nori, and black sesame seed)
2. "Hatched chick" hard boiled egg
3. Corn on the cob and carrot "flower"
4. "Tulip" sausages
5. Sultanas
6. Grapes


Rabbit Dress-up


Easter is approaching. These two weeks are going to be Easter theme for Bebento-kids.
This bento consits of :
1. "Rabbit dress-up" onigiri (steamed rice coloured in grated carrot, white steamed rice, carrot "ear", eggsheet, nori, and black sesame seed)
2. Corn on the cob
3. Sausages
4. Lettuce and grapes
