Perfect Couple


Happy Valentine's Day!! Still with Valentine's day theme, today I prepared "Perfect Couple" bento for my boys. I asked the boys to choose. My eldest son chose the boy, and my little one chose the girl bear (because he loves the bow tie pasta).

Details as below :


This Girl Bear version consists of :
1. Stuffed sandwich with strawberry jam filling (Bow tie pasta and nori)
2. Heart shaped hard boiled egg and sausages
3. Corn on the cob
4. Carrot sticks
5. Dried sultanas
6. Kiwi fruit for recess



The Boy Bear version, consists of :
1. Stuffed sandwich with strawberry jam filling (black sesame seed and nori)
2. Heart shaped hard boiled egg and flower sausages
3. Corn on the cob
4. Carrot sticks and broccoli with cheese on top
5. Dried sultanas
6. Mini carrot cake

Special Valentine's Day Bento



Valentine's day is near. It's a perfect time to celebrate and share the love with your loved ones. I made special valentine's day bento for my boys, with little notes to tell them how much I love them. They're just so special for me. I couldn't ask for more...

Here are the details of my creation :



This bento consists of :
1. Heart shaped stuffed sandwich with chicken and mayo filling. I put cheese and carrot on top.
2. Heart shaped hard boiled egg sprinkled with black sesame seed
3. Heart and flower shaped sausages
4. Corn on the cob
5. Beef and prawn dumpling
6. Sausage rolls (recipe is in this link)
7. Dried sultana & apricot
8. Broccoli with cheese and carrot decoration
9. Banana for recess



And this bento consists of :
1.  Heart shaped stuffed sandwich with chicken and mayo filling. I put cheese and carrot on top.
2. Heart shaped hard boiled egg
3. Heart shaped sausages
4. Corn on the cob
5. Beef and prawn dumpling
6. "Love letter" Fish tofu with apple skin and cheese
7. "Checker" apple
8. Broccoli 
9. "Rabbits" apple for recess

Share the Love


Happy Valentine's Day to you all...
This bento I made for my year 2 son.  It consists of :
1. "Boy & Girl" onigiri (steamed rice, nori, carrot, crab stick)
2. Sausage
3. Prawn tempura
4. Broccoli and carrot

Loved Bear


This one I made for my kindy son. It consists of :
1. Stuffed bear (sandwich, nutela, Milo Duo - vanila, nori, carrot, cheese)
2. "Mouse" hard boiled egg (nori, carrot)
3. Sausages
4. cheese sticks
5. "Leaf" zucchini

To carve the zucchini and cut the heart shape, I used similar tools like these :


Love Letter


Special love letter on this valentine's day. This bento I made for my hubby, it consists of :
1. Steamed rice with "special delivery frogman" on top (zucchini, cheese, nori, carrot).
2. Prawn and pork bean curd rolls with oyster sauce
3. "Mushroom" cherry tomato
4. Apple "checker"
5. Leek leaf as divider

I used bear-shaped cutter to cut the frog's head. And you may find the carving knives here :

Valentine Bento


This is the first Valentine Bento that I made for my hubby.
The box consists of :
1. Heart-shaped rice onigiri (coloured with beetroot juice)
2. Boiled egg
3. Bamboo shoot with chicken mince and egg.
4. Chikuwa filled with carrot sticks.
5. Cod fish cake
6. Lettuce
7. Red grapes

Valentine Lion


To celebrate Valentine's day, I made this valentine lion for my kids.
The red box consists of : sandwich with cheese on top, croissant, nuggets, ham roll, carrot and lettuce.
The blue box consists of : apples for the rabbits and chess checkers.
