I made sausage rolls in bulk on weekend and saved some in the resealable bags and kept them in the freezer for staples. It's perfect for snack after school as well.
Sausage Rolls
Ingredients:
250 gr beef mince and 250 gr pork mince
half an onion – diced thinly
1 egg
mixed herbs (I put parsley & mint)
small amount of grated carrot and celery
1 tsp nutmeg
1 cup breadcrumbs
3 sheets puff pastry
sesame seed
Method :
In a bowl, mix the mince, diced onion, egg, mixed herbs, nutmeg and grated veggies together. Season well with salt and pepper. Add the breadcrumbs and again mix well.
Wrap up the mince in the puff pastry, brush with milk, sprinkle with sesame seed and bake in 180C for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.
For my little one, I prepared :
1. Sausage rolls and tomato ketchup
2. Tamagoyaki (egg rolls)
3. Ham "flower"
4. Carrot sticks
5. Milk jelly with nata de coco
6. Banana for recess
For my eldest one, I prepared :
